Business Support Services
The kitchen incubator will work with the Teton Valley Business Development Center, the University of Idaho Teton County Extension Service, Eastern Idaho Small Business Development Center, Silicon Couloir, Slow Food in the Tetons, Full Circle Education and other organizations to facilitate one on one or group training (see training calendar below) and support for business plans and product development, marketing and distribution.
At the Tenant Orientation, the Kitchen Manager and Business Development Center staff will review the tenant's business plan, if one has been submitted with the application. Specific resources and training opportunities will be identified to help each individual tenant craft and execute their business plan, including classes and mentors. The Facility Manager will evaluate each tenant’s progress at least quarterly and seek to facilitate appropriate levels and types of support. Financing assistance is also available through programs sponsored by the City of Driggs, including a micro-loan program administered by The Development Company, and a local crowdfunding platform. The Research and Business Development Center in Rexburg, which conducted the feasibility study for the Teton Valley Kitchen, is also providing low cost business research services such as Business Plan Development, Competitive Analysis, Market Analysis and Financial Analysis. |
