New food business users need to submit an application prior to becoming a tenant - please click on the "Apply" tab to begin the process. The primary criteria for approval is the tenant's ability to manufacture food products to sell. The applicant will also need to agree to comply with the facility policies and rules, which will be reviewed and agreed upon during the orientation session.
Others (non food business users) may reserve and use the kitchen by contacting the Teton County Fairgrounds Manager (Patty Petersen) directly at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Once an application is approved, a tenant will need to complete a training session with the facility manager covering the facility policies, rules and procedures. The tenant will also need to demonstrate knowledge of food safety practices and provide a copy of their food handler's card. Visit healthandwelfare.idaho.gov for a list of accredited online courses and exams.
HEALTH DEPARTMENT LICENSE & INSPECTION
With a few exceptions, each food business using the kitchen facility is required by Eastern Idaho Public Health to obtain a food business license. Following the orientation, Teton Valley Kitchen will work with the tenant and EIPH to prepare the necessary application, if applicable, and schedule the inspection during the tenant's first rental period.
The kitchen is available for rent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a minimum rental period of 2 hours. Requests for tenant reservations need to be made via email at least 72 hours in advance of requested time to the Facility Manager. Upon reviewing the request, the time will be approved or denied based on availability and exact needs of the requesting tenant.
Rental rates, facility fees and payment methods will be structured to encourage startups and incentivize growth to the greatest extent possible while ensuring a quality environment and pursuing financial sustainability.

Each tenant will be provided with an entry code and must log in and out of the facility. Between 7pm and 7am, no more than one tenant will be allowed to use the facility at a time, unless those scheduling their use have agreed to share the space and have been approved to do so by the Kitchen Manager. Lockable dry storage will be available.
